Youthful dreams no longer are,
No more wishing on falling stars,
Youth is gone ~ Age set in,
Where and when did dreaming end?
No longer is there a wish for tomorrow,
Although, there is no absolute sorrow,
Apathy is the way of the day,
Hour to hour ~ Minutes decay,
Is the future already past?
From the beginning is a dye caste?
From when to where and here to there,
Time is lost and there are no fares,
When did the future silently slip away?
When did the past become today?
If tomorrow is lost and yesterday is forever,
Then today is a tomb and escapement is never,
So dying then ~ Won’t set the soul free,
“The Tomb of Life” ~ An unwritten decree.
