I dream of you, and me, together,
Us, you and I, together forever.
What a glorious vision of things never to happen,
Oh how I wish it to be real but its only myself sapping.
I weep for you with tears of longing,
I want to be with you more than anything.
When you are sad, I find myself being sympathetic,
Those who do not understand me find me pathetic.
They want me to die, to leave them alone.
They wish beyond whatever else for me to be gone.
But still I stay, a proverbial thorn in their side,
The brunt of their scorn, an easy target to chide.
I stay, lost in my own world, where I am with you,
Dreaming, wondering, living beneath the wide blue.
It is beautiful there, with reviving, clean, fresh air.
An escape from reality does me good,
Lets me breathe, live, have my being.
I love it so much I hardly eat any food,
My special world and you are all I'm seeing.
But it is not real, only an illusion.
Only fake, lending me confusion.
I must leave my fake world now,
To seek my destiny in the world without.
But you will always be in my heart,
And there you will stay, Us never apart.
