I wake up each day hoping to talk to you
I go to bed each night wishing I was holding you tight
Since you left that’s all I do
It just can’t be right
I moved on, but I’m still blue
Keeping my chin held high wanting you in my sight
If I only knew
Our star still shine’s so bright
The clouds are parted and new
All I seen in your eyes was fright
I told you it was only two
All you said was “I see a light”
I screamed you can’t go
I squeeze you and hold you upright
Why did it have to be the flu
I just cried with all my might
