All these crazy alibi's
Our love is nothing more than a pack of lies
A surprise awaits us at every turn
My anger can do nothing but burn
Under the rugs lives our evil schemes
Uner the bed lies our shattered dreams
In our cracker jack house
Our hateful looks the mirrors conceal
The ticking of the clock hides how we feel
The cupboards are empty space
The closets are my hiding place
We built this hard stuborn wall
We wait, we watch, we pray the other will fall
In our crackerjack house
Living behind our calloused skin
Seeing our love grow thin
No love on our lovesaet
No heart in our chests to beat
The floorboards with hatred do ring
While the doorbell plays a gay tune no-one wants to sing
In our cracker jack house
The windows need a raincoat
The basement in teardrops it does float
The rooftop knows our every unhappy thought
The attic looks for memories we never sought
Our screams of love's desertion are heard in the rafters
There is no love for us in the here after
In our cracker jack house
If only the figurines could speak
They would tell you our life has become so bleak
The pictures remain silent
The dishes become violent
Our angry words become our riun
As together we sing a sad tune.
In our cacker jack house
Together our relationship we did kill
Each others happiness we did sreal
Emptiness is hear instead
Now is love is daed
Our tears are blood red
No visions of love in my head
In our cracker jack house
Tears from our eyes fall like rain
We seem to do nothing but cause the other pain
Will we ever be the same?
We both hold the blame
Our love has become an angry hurtful game
Now neither of us can stand to speak the others name
In our cracker jack house
I ask myself why we remain
When the end of our life together is so plain
I ask myself why you stay with me
When we never seem to agree
You're the one always walking out the door
I'm the one with my heart lying, broken, bleeding on he floor
In our cracker jack house
You wake up each morning wanting to flee
While I sit and cry these tears you'll never see
It don't matter if it's day or night
All we seem to do is fight
We can;t continue like this any more
We hurt each other to the core
In our cracker jack house
For a broken heart we payed a high price
Now niether one of is even nice
I wonder if our love was ever true
Or if we just love making the other miserable and blue
We need to clear the air
Niether one of us is being fair
In our cracker jack house
It doesn't matter who threw the first the stone
May be we should just leave each other alone
Our tears continue to flow
Our unhappiness is the only emotion we show
Lets just pull in our welcome mat
It's plain to see our love is flat
In our cracker jack house

Oooooh, every line of this poem hurts to the core. Perfection of this emotion displayed in your words are pain of broken bruised devotion. You are a great poet. Tiffany J. (Red_October) |

Blu, this is a powerful write of the death of a relationship with nothing left to salvage. It must be a miserable existence and extremely hard to deal with. You know where I am if you need me, spirit sister.
Hugs,
Rita |
