The Devils Conspiracy
One needs to live life with great patience,
Through all ill, love and decadence;
For life is an arduous winding road
Where obstacles are but thoroughly broad,
Where even nature would slyly conspire
To entrench against what we aspire.
Discard bravely all thy cumber obstacles—
Picture them visually as pestilent tentacles
Sent to inveigle thee to the threshold of hell;
Into that perpetual, infernal well.
The human mind is fraught with thoughts,
Some surfaced no matter how hard we fought;
But be aware, that is the subtle human brain
Where lies the chronic, diabolical stain
The devil has successfully instilled
To have us all surreptitiously killed…

I really like the way you worded this and it conveys a christian mindset with striking clarity, unusual for the christian poets on this site, thanks for sharing it was an enjoyable read |
