Shall We Dwell?

Contributed by Lee on Thursday, 28th October 2004 @ 04:24:07 PM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

I think of yesteryear
And wander through a good dream's voice to hear

Lovely thoughts of the well
Where our cherished waters dwell

Can you not feel my love for you, my dear?
Are you thinking, as I am, of yesteryear?

Shall we put on our fancy dress and gaudy apparel?
Shall we dance at the ball where royalty waits in peril?

Shall we dwell in a thing of haunting beauty?
Where we can see each other by the light of a moon beam

What do you intend to do
With the remaining hours of the evening?
Shall we dwell in the forbidden land
Where the teasing breeze turns freezing?

Good questions. I have often wondered about that myself. The past can be a dangerous place when visited too frequentily and with the wrong motives. People are distracted from the present as it is already.
