I Want To Make You Cry

Contributed by Nazmythian on Thursday, 28th October 2004 @ 04:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

I’ve seen your tears of sorrow
I’ve heard your sobs of pain
Witnessed your screams of anger
Your face painted with the telltale stain

I’ve watched you suffer in silence
And died inside a little more
Every time a drop fell from your eyes
And crashed down upon the floor

I know it must sound crazy
I might be a little more than insane
I want to see your tears begin falling
As your calling out my name

I want to make you cry
I want to know it was me
To bring those feelings alive
To bring your passion to light
Emotion so pure and real
I know
I can feel it ~
Burning in your eyes
I want to make you cry

No, I don’t want to hurt you
I don’t want to make you have to forgive
I just want you to remember this moment
For as long as we both shall live

I want to wrap you in my arms, Baby
Show you love the way that love should be
And I want to take you higher, Lady
I want you to just let go for me

I want to make you cry
I want to know it was me
To bring those feelings alive
To bring your passion to light
Emotion so pure and real
I know
I can feel it ~
Burning in your eyes
I want to be that guy

I want to make you cry
And let the tears fall down
Let happiness abound
Everywhere
All around us now
In a moment we just cannot deny

I want to make you cry
A glimpse of paradise
Reflected in your eyes
Love that you can’t hide
Through the darkest night
Let me be your guide
Give me a chance to try
And find the woman inside
I’ll make it feel all right
I’ll hold you close and tight
Right here
Against me
Now
And
I ~

I want to make you cry

That was cool.

Musta been a long bus ride.
Really like the last stanza,
which could be the whole poem
on its own.

I'm the sort of fool that would cry just hearing a song like this... lost to the thought of what the writer must have thinking/feeling/wishing when he penned the words.

I think this is what we all wish for... it is, exactly, a perfect representation of those moments that are just so incredible that you cannot help but succomb to them. That moment when the world falls away and it's just to the two of you... and the teardrops say everything that needs saying.

Ok... Ok... I need to stop myself here before I begin a poem right here in your comment space. Beautiful, Nazzy... obviously - I love this.

Ok, you are is you're not your.
Other than that, this is an interesting description of that love/hate thing that wants the other person to be in pain so that you can rescue him or her. It isn't really healthy, but it's a common fantasy, particularly in the crush stage. You have explored something most people (mostly guys) can relate to, but wouldn't want to admit to. I give you an A+ for gutsiness and originality.

Hi Naz,

Wow, someone said it...."must have been a long bus ride." The theme of wanting to view anothers pain as verification that you mean something to her is understandable and often occurs. After all indifference would be the worst possible response.

This is a song, is it not? I'm always amazed at your versatility,

A write with a lot of emotion, very good

I welcome you with open arms, dearest Naz, and praise this new masterpiece you have so beautifully woven! I love it! So touching, so flawless... You wish to evoke tears of love from this woman, not tears of anguish... Incredible! Enchanting till the very end. I only wish for it to never end; this write, and this new-found love you have been blessed with! Congratulations, and much love! Another piece of perfection. You never cease to impress, entice, and enchant your readers... Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing this piece.
Forever,

Votre Fleur de Sang
