Softened Dwellers

Contributed by Lee on Thursday, 28th October 2004 @ 12:38:19 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Such sweet, soft dreams
Near deep waters held in place
By softened shores
Softened dwellers, of whom the night adores...

They appear in a dream-like consciousness
Their pale skin seems less human
and their appetites are monstrous

They weep, for it is a cruel existence
in which they are deprived of love
They wail, for it is their cry for forgiveness
as they wish to be peaceful as doves

Dwelling in softened shores,
they no longer seek to bask in the sun's glory-rays
Coming out with the moon,
they feel such pity for their unknowing prey

Modified for "The StarFlower: Just passing Through the Universe...A Space Opera"

"Softened Dwellers"

Mr. Sand:

"Such sweet, soft dreams
Near deep waters held in place
By softened shores
Softened dwellers, of whom the night adores...

They appear in a dream-like consciousness
They weep, for it is a woeful existence
in which they are deprived of love
They only wish to be as peaceful as doves

Dwelling in softened shores,
they bask in the moon's glory-rays
Coming out with the night to stay"
