Filling my heart with desperate need
of solitude and darkness,
She glides on wings made of souls
that once roamed happy and free.
She lies in wait for the innocent
and light of heart.
Inside her chest beats an unquenchable flame
of hatred and hunger.
Here she flies drawn to my despair
like a moth to light.
And I lie in wait, longing for her
sombre presence to fill me
My Dark Angel of Death.

Nice write, yet . . .
"Inside her chest beats an unquenchable flame"
I'd have changed this to chest 'burns', to make it sound better.
Welcome to YDPC.
Keep writing and commenting. |
