Stab shadows,
leaving cratered walls.
Shoot out lights
dispelling all vision.
Color blind.
Judgment free.
Claw at masking layers of skin,
dig deeper within.
Search for truth
in burned away shadows.
Paint black all reflection, all sight.
Never know but what's felt.
Oh to be colorblind;
judgment free.
To let only fingertips see.

Those first two lines are amazing! The whole
thing is amazing but especially those first two.
I can see why you got such a good mark, but
hopefully your teacher isn't stricken with
nightmares. Very good poem, very deep.

Really intriguing and visual. I enjoyed reading it. Sort of dark but makes you think. Great job! |
