I take another step back
a little bit at a time
and I can see better now
how it all was such a crime
the way that you misled me
to believe you were sincere
I gave my heart to you
there was so little to fear
but it was just a ploy
to what end, I still don't know
I'm left here cold and empty
watching your back as you go
the days slowly wear on
I think maybe you'd get a clue
that you'd see your mistake
but you don't have it in you
you never once looked back
but if you did, you would see
I'm not as brave as I let on
there's a broken heart inside of me

wow this is a great write.. usually the person who left never admits they are wrong.. if they left you and turned their back on you then you can do better. you will heal.. There is always hope
