I’m cold on the outside and warm on the inside,
But I’m sitting in the corner willing to hide.
Holding my knees as I crouch on the floor,
Staring up at the handle on the bedroom door.

I’m shut away,
Away from the world with nothing to lift me up.

I hate being lonely, scared and unsure,
If you will return and walk through my door,
I miss the way you held my hand and loved me just for me,
I hope you come back and treat me the same so everyone can see.

I’m in love and I know its true,
All that I want is to hold you and give you my heart.

I’m still here waiting for you to return,
But will my heart roll over and burn?
I’m so confused but I feel I’m so sure,
That your love is perfect and my love is pure.
