What Is Strong Without A Backbone

Contributed by abnormalpunk on Tuesday, 26th October 2004 @ 07:50:09 PM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

i know my strengths and what i am able to give to others
giving the little i have makes me glad
cause now i have more than i had

i stood for what i believed in through all the criticism
put up with all the crap the world dished out
and lived through all the hate but now i shout

i know what i believe in
and i stand by it
so do the same even if
its not what i believe in

im sick of people acting like theyre religious and hate the different
they treat you like crap, i know, for them, im sorry
but were the freaks and we wont change, now will we

i am the way that i am even if i am not what those people want of me
they cant accept that i love god and laughing to
those stiffs wont accept us even if were true

so stand by your beliefs
even if theyre not mine
i respect the fact
that youd do that
now lets riot for our beliefs
you for yours and me for mine

and for the finally of this poem
i let it out and in your face
i hate those christians that made you hate the rest of us christians
if your different i dont care
if you dont believe like me so what
your just another human, just like me
we can chill and we can make fun of the losers
who wont accept us the way we are
but dont put up with crap
that people give you with what they believe
as long as youre strong in your loves
i know at least i'll let you be

Much applause. I commend you for standing to what is true to you. I like a straight-shooter. I agree that christians shouldn't rub their hypocrisy in others faces.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
