Why do I see you crawling back to me?
You were the one who said we couldn't be.
Can't you see that I have found another?
I'm honest, I don't want to call you lover.
You had your chance to make me smile,
But you blew it, you haven't tried for a while.
You're haunting my dreams, kissing me in sleep.
No memory of me was yours to keep.
And yet, it seems as though I'm taking the bait.
The moment I smiled, I sealed our fate.
You're coming closer than you tried to before.
Second chance, after trampling my heart on the floor?
You're a fascinating creature, this is true,
But it's clear that I don't belong with you.

I enjoyed this poem and can relate
