The Road To Dispair

Contributed by skyblumoon on Tuesday, 26th October 2004 @ 11:49:41 AM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

There were two paths. One on the right & one on the left.
I prayed to the Lord for guidance.
I was too busy to hear my Lord.
I lost my first born son.
I cried out to my Lord.
Why have thou forsaken me?
No answer came.
I was too busy to hear my Lord.
I lost my love.
Again I cried out to my Lord.
Why have thou forsaken me?
No answer came I was too busy to hear my Lord.
I lost my other three children.
One son & two daughters.
Again I cried out to my Lord.
Why have thou forsaken me?
No answer came
I was too busy to hear my Lord.
Then one day I listened.
My Lord said:
"My child I have not forsaken you.
You have forsaken me.
Take my hand & trust me.
I will lead you".
I cried out "My Lord! My Lord"!
"You have forsaken me."
Again the Lord said
"No my child you have forsaken me".
I cried out "My Lord! "My Lord!"
"I have lost much.
I have cried many tears.
My life is a mess.
My mind is crazy.
I blame you my Lord".
The Lord said
" My child if only you will have patience & trust
I will restore you to your former self.
I have not forsaken you.
I have walked beside you.
You have refused my out stretched arms.
I have cried tears for you but you my child refused to dry them.
I have been beside you my child.
My heart is breaking at your lose.
You still refuse to come to me my child.
You wiped my footprints from the sand.
My child you have forsaken me.
I'll take your hand.
Walk into my arms.
I'll wipe your tears.
I'll mend your broken heart.
Trust in me.
The Lord said,
"No longer must you forsake me my child".
Don't continue on the road to despair!

Sorry to hear you even had to choose. When we pray we need to learn to listen for our answers. Be more patient from now on.
Izzy
