I could have told you this world wasn't meant for someone like you. As you slowly pull your cigarette, I wonder all things that never worked and all the things that could have been. Wide eyed as a child once, you've now been corrupted by those who are beneath you. A tired heart walking like a ghost, through the places you have come to call your own. Eyes that have seen more than they wish to disclose, you keep your secrets far from those who could hurt you. Last wishes and resolutions hold zero weight I now hold zero weight. I once idealized you, now merely turn my head to keep me blind to how you've changed.
