A New World

Contributed by dewman on Monday, 25th October 2004 @ 10:35:51 PM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

Ecstasy…is it a feeling or an idea?
Forty minutes have passed since the first
Not a thing yet
Down another tab
I feel the first satisfying tingle in my feet
Move up my legs right to the stomach
From the stomach to the chest
And from there straight to the brain

Only now I realize the first has just started
I’m in for the long haul now
No sleep, no food…no brain, for days
I’m a savage, can’t let my stomach conquer me
I’m the master of my body

Never been so twisted messed up before
Sick like moving electricity pushed to the max
It’s all in full swing now

Eyes start to roll back
Eyelids halfway closed…or halfway open – I can’t decide
Nothing but black and white to stare with
Not even a sliver of color

I can feel the peak’s onslaught
I’m ready to explode
I want to share what I have
No one can imagine what I feel

Music getting louder – breathing deeper and deeper
Feelings too intense for the average mind
Such a savage I am
Separate and above the rest of the world

The peak has dissipated – the music is quieter
A peaceful tranquility settles within me
Lie back, feel the current of the music course through my veins
Let it take me away

Time passes; time again to test the brain
Where do I stop?
Days have passed by now
Everything is a blur…all hazy

Then the pictures arrive
Some memories suddenly appear
The others are lost for eternity in the depths of my soul
What have I done?
What have I become?
Was I someone…or something else?

I won’t ever know…….
At least until next time

Well done. This paints a clear picture. I particularly like the questions at the end... they're rather telling, I think.

For the record... I'm happy to read this after already leaning that you've gotten help.

Great write - and again, WELCOME to YPDC! Keep writing, keep posting...
