Like sand through an hour glass

Contributed by gurlg0newr0ng on Monday, 25th October 2004 @ 10:02:00 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

Deep within me there's nothing, just a hollow void,
In my eyes remains a reflection of pain I used to hold within that's long sense been numbed,
Reality isn't frightening anymore,
I'm just letting the time slip past,
it's like sand through an hour glass,
A handful of people still have room for me in their lives,
My heart stopped holding onto the ones who got away,
All of my faith has faded and the hope just washed away,
I'm just letting the days slip past,
It's like sand through an hour glass,
I've watched those whom I love come and go with no good-bye,
Over the years learned there's no good reason to cry,
I've also learned it's better to not ask why,
I'm just letting the months slip past,
it's like sand through an hour glass,
I'm neither walking blind nor seeing in this world,
My wounds are but scars now,
All my tears are dryed and gone,
I'm just letting the years slip past,
It's like sand through an hour glass,
Before I know it this will all be done,
Before I know it my time to go will come,
I won't have sit idle and wait I won't have to anticipate but until then,
I'm just letting my life slip past,
Like sand through an hour glass.

For the fact that I just randomly picked this poem, I am greatly surprised! I am honored to read such a thing as this! Wow, what a well written piece, thank you for such a poem!
