Never Happy To See Me

You're never happy to see me anymore
Your eyes don't have that spark
But when you talk about her
I notice a glow

I don't think you will ever be happy with me
Happy with what I did for you
You're not happy with what I am
I'm depressed beyond all being

You're never happy to see me anymore
I'm a fly on the wall compared to her
You shoo me out of your heart
To make room for someone like her

No matter what you tell me
I'll never believe you
Say what you will
I'll never fully trust you

If only the magic could stay in a relationship with the snap of a finger, life would be so easy. A relationship is definitely hard work, but worth every ounce of it. However, it does take two. I do understand about not being happy to see me since I have experienced it myself. I think it happens to all of us somewhere in time. You just have to make sure you learn from it just as I have done. Good write.
