My Silent Other

Contributed by sicknivesevered on Monday, 25th October 2004 @ 12:54:04 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

When everything seems vacant
You're there
And everything seems worse
Silence is all I get in return
The same reason I ever get
The one I've now come to expect
(hoping to be surprised someday)

When my shade of grey is ignored by yours
Forcing my grin
Cracking the truth to fix the other
With no response
I break in two for nothing
I cannot begin to live
Without you living first
Too quiet for sympathy
Like the darkness that entangles me

I give my blood for your unknown
(forever to be)
Instilling life into those brown eyes
That flood in the fluid
That don't blink from sorrow or joy
They just stare at the sacrifice
Which glazes them with familiarity
(I'm sure)
I want to touch them
I want whats mine

I'm tired of the same story
Accompanied by fragile excuses
That I allow to engulf me
Followed by nightly regret
Thumbing through trash
Spitting at the pages
Dying from the filth

The touch is all I ask for
Tilted so the blade isn't piercing me
I'm sick of dying all alone in your arms

I can see you clearly
I can see you fell
I can see I'm dreaming
I see that all too well

"I'm sick of dying all alone in your arms"
Wow this whole poem was awesome, but
that line just wow not sure what to say. This
was so vivid and so emotional and just plain
good. The loneliness expressed in this poem
was very real and I can relate a bit.
