The Little Things

Contributed by stoney1 on Monday, 25th October 2004 @ 09:18:41 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The warmth of your smile
on me has the same affect
as the sun's soft rays
encouraging the May flower
to unfold its delicate petals

When you reach up
to adjust my tie,
I am content in
the knowledge that
you regard me as
your very own

The softness of your lips
brushing against my cheek
as you send me off
to face the day,
re-affirms that I am
your one true love...
or...at least until
the milkman comes

Aw shucks, stoney1 - you got me too! My mind was turning, turning on the thought of how much can be embedded in the smallest of moments... and then, whammo! you toss the milkman in. *sigh*

Wanting to believe she tells the milkman to get lost-
