Cautious

Contributed by stellar on Sunday, 24th October 2004 @ 09:55:20 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I choose to be alone because it's
easier
If I don't let them in
I never have to watch them
go
It's my past that keeps me from trying
I'm shy
Bruised
And cautious
At times I'm a loner
And other times I'm just
plain lonely
I'm misunderstood
But I guess everybody is
I'm uncomfortable with
c l o s e n e s s
That is, except with him
I let him inside
And he loves me
It was always easier
With him
It's so much harder
With everyone else
I wish I wasn't shy
I wasn't quiet
Wasn't scared
Cautious

How did I get to this
point?

Your past is what makes you who you are. But it is your job to make a new you. I'm sure in time, the way you are right now will fade away. You just have to take things one step at a time. Soon your past will just as it should be....YOUR PAST. Only you can make your future. Don't let your past be who you are. Great Write!!!
