I Thought You'd Be Here Forever

The worst is over now
Everything's not as bad as it seems
These lies seemed
So cliched
I remember when I cried the day away
I remember watching you
Standing in the rain
So still
On the last day

I wanted you to be happy
I wanted to see you smiling
That last day,
I felt like dying
The last day
The worst day
The start of my lonliness

Now I see you again
And the tears are chasing me
I tried to run away
But they only came so much faster
I can't stand this pain
I know it hasn't gotten better
I know you're happy there

Do you think that I don't realize
I am not missed at all?
Can't you see,
it feels as if everything's my fault?

I thought it would all get better
I thought the pain would subside
I wanted you to be happy
I didn't know I would still feel this pain
