Look what love has done to me

Contributed by caughtinadream on Sunday, 24th October 2004 @ 07:57:22 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Look what love has done to me
I am as broken as I can be.
My heart is running from my mind
Happiness- a feeling I wish I could find.
I don't see the beauty in the pain
I'm left with nothing to gain.
I've tried to pretend, I've tried not to care
But it hasnt gotten me anywhere.
I'm going to leave, to run far away
Maybe I can find some place to stay.
A new heart is what I need
For myself, I am doing this out of greed.

Really hits home... there's nothing quite like love. it's the best and the worst thing that can happen to you sometimes. thanks for the comment, and this is a great poem too.

Take care : )
