Smile at Me

Topic: LovePoetry

There you are again,
Smiling as the rain starts starts sliding in
But how come you never seem to smile at me?

I know I’ve done you wrong
But that was such a long, long time ago
Don’t you remember how things used to be?

So baby please come home
‘Cos now I’m all alone
I can change if you’d only let me

So I’m waiting, wating for you
‘Cos it’s all that, all I can do
And it’s all I could hope for, I know it’s true
Is to see you smiling at me

It isn’t any fun
To see you smiling in the sun-shine through the rain
What happened to the girl that I once knew?

You life has turned around
Now mine is upside-down, and there’s no end
Remember that I’ll always smile back at you

Now I know what it takes
I’ve learned from my mistakes
Can’t you see that I am changing?

So I’m waiting, waiting for you
‘Cos it’s all that, all I can do
And it’s all I could hope for, I know it’s true
Is to see you smilling at me

So I’m waiting, waiting for you
‘Cos it’s all that I know how to do
And it’s all I could hope for, I know it’s true
Is to see you smiling at me
