Different Not Evil

Bruises, beatings, threats and awful taunts,
My life is only this,
These people, these mortals no nothing of pain,
Only what they wish to gain.

They don't know the torture,
We put ourselves through for them.
We know we are different,
And we don't wish to change.

They just don't understand.

Chorus
We're different, and special, and nothing alike,
We always for them,
Fight the good fight,
We pour out our souls,
Just to fit in,
But we can't hide who we are,
With in.

Chanting, taunting, pointing fingers,
All the pain these cause,
Ooo how it lingers,
They wish to tell us we're condemned for hell,
But why we do it,
Our deepest darkest secret,
We could never tell.

Repeat Chorus

Years and years of dishonest lies,
All of our blood spilled,
All of our cries,
It makes no difference to any of them,
Because in their eyes,
We were just committing sin.

Help us, Help us,
Trying to survive,
Bleeding, dying,
Trying to survive.

No one hears us,
They all turn away, They don't understand,
They'll be sorry some day.

The light begins to fade to black,

We were just evil in their eyes.

That speaks to me. I've been treated the same way. Your poem kind of reminds me of one I read in school, that I also liked, Dunbar's "We Wear the Mask." Good work, but there are a few errors that distract from the message.
