We Go Around Again

I stopped the merry-go-round spinning before;
I though that the ride was over,
But I never got off.

I also have a red seat-belt on;
It could be holding me safe,
But it could also be holding me hostage.

My love for you holds me to you.
I can’t help but stay on the ride.
I know that I have gotten hurt before;
That is why this ride is so much slower;

To see if this is my ride for life.

The ride seems safe this time around.
The equipment on the playground seems less rickety.
This might mean that feelings are more secure;
Or I could just be duped even worse.

If this ride ends up hurting me again,
That’s it; there are no other turns;
Time is up and it’s judgment day.

Awesome poem beautifully composed and written with true feeling, I hope this is the one for you and that the love is true and not hurtful, cool poem.
