They've quieted now
Slipping back behind the curtain
To reorganize themselves
To pick up the cues,
Pulsing out with each beat
Of my heart
So they know, so they are
Dancing to the appropriate tune -
Flailing wildly in the rush
Of confused emotion
Or sweeping gracefully
Though my mind
As love is quietly considered
No matter, they matter
Always, as they dance
For their desperate inclination
To be consistently moving
To my own internal music
I understand them, as
They do me
And so,
I wait for them
To fall again into formation
And to step forward
In front of the curtain
Where I can see them
In some new pattern
Telling me everything
Showing me what they learned
By listening, by dancing
They make me want to
Move with them
Because they matter
Even if I can't hear the music
Always, I surrender myself
To their power, swept away
By their song, my song
And by dancing, I begin
Then to understand, as
They do.
Later, sometimes much later,
When the dance has long since ended
And the words are set out on the page
Then, and only then,
Am I able to hear the music
As they do.

It is a melody that is unforgettable isn't it?
It is in those quiet moments you hear the synchronization, that can be so easily never felt.
You have alot of depth, an active mind, a pen that can write emotion in the form of poetry-- and this is breathtakingly beautiful to read.

this is beautiful..I think I understand. Sometimes, I enter a manic phase (I think that's what it is) The words just come out..everything in a rush. For some reason it's almost always iambic petameter.. It drags me out of bed, no matter the time...I have to get it down. Then I feel spent..or exhilerated. Your poetry captures it in a beautiful way. :-*) I have a poem on now which is being read and getting no comments..I don't know why? It's called Reflections..if you get time would you have a look? ty. |

> stares at page in unmitigated awe ...
>rereads an indeterminate amount of times ...
The monitor seems as frozen as my eyes, upon the ideas captured by this dance.
> is simply amazed, filled with artistic revelation and an ever increasing respect for the dance.
With a nod of understanding, a hint of a smile, and a wink of acknowledgement ... wanders off in search of fire. |

This poem flows beautifully....like a dance. It is very rich in descriptive images. I admire you talent for writing a non rhyming poem. I have little experience with non rhyming poetry... I need to give it a try.
This read was inspiration for me

I can almost see it...almost hear the music.
And it is beautiful.
I adore the way you write hunni.
I wish I could create like you do, no rhyme, but a perfect flow.
The words almost seem to complement, to complete each other.
And amazing write, as always.

How did the concept of dance begin? Both strange and beautiful it is
It was said before me and I will repeat because of its truth--It was a very gentle poem--It put a warm smile to my face
Thank you
