The question why do I love you?
There’s not just one answer but quite a few,
There are so many reasons my heart beats,
You make me feel alive & very complete.
The amount of love & respect that I get,
Is something that is special & I’ll not forget,
You are always honest with me in every way,
By my side is where you love to spend your days.
You would never do or say anything that’d hurt,
You’d never betray me & make me feel like dirt,
You do your best to try & understand my pain,
When my depression must drive you almost insane.
You have stood by me through thick & thin,
On my soul you looked so deep within,
You didn’t judge me on things from my past,
I think we have both found true love at long last.
I love you mostly because of the person you are,
You are a precious, shining star,
You make me want to laugh & my heart to sing,
To my life so much wonder do you bring.
There’s so many little things that I just simply love,
Like when we lay together we fit like a glove,
That even one year we bought the same Xmas card,
& that when you love me you really love me hard.
As soon as you are out of my sight I miss,
Your tender touch that feels so much like bliss,
I miss your every last minor detail,
My love for you really does top the scale.
I never really believed that true love did exist,
I knew when I met you how much we’d missed,
We were once two souls without a shine,
Now we are as one together we have entwined.

this is a very powerful poem. Very touching and extermely well written. I must say this love you feel, I am envious of it and could only wish to be loved such as that by the love of my life. Outstanding poem absoutely outstanding. |
