Living with Seven Gay Men

I have never physically met anyone that was openly gay
Until I went to visit my sister and I met them all that day
There are twenty apartments, but only nine of them are occupied
Seven of those apartments all worship the rainbow flag outside
The first person I met was Larry and he's the gay landlord
His jeans were so tight I dunno how he got everything aboard
I met the married couple next and they seemed really fun
They have the biggest flat along with a nine month old son
My favorite gay guy by far is Jon with his bf that looks like a dyke
In the dead of winter he'll ride four miles to work on his bike
Jon has been a hairdresser for twenty some years
He says he loves drinkin some beers with his queers
Tom is in his sixties and he's by far the oldest one
He's a nice guy but he never seems like he's having fun
Jamie is the youngest one and he's actually cute
At nineteen he is definitely the biggest fruit
He has a great fashion sense and a pink scarf
But his boyfriend just makes me wanna barf
Jim is the "closet " gay and no one knows why
He claims he has a wife but she's never stopped by
Bruce is an artist and wanted to draw my face
I'll give him a picture in which he can trace
Mike is the alcoholic that always toots
He wears sweatpants with cowboy boots
They all live together with Jason and my sister
Having fun and mixing together like one big twister
I had a lot of fun and they were all very nice and polite
I'm wicked tired i'm going to sleep.. goodnight

| Ohh this was soo cute..it reminds me of so many things. wish we could talk over coffee. I went to San Francisco and stayed at a b&B called Baby Bear's House. 3 gay men and a 7 year old girl. Two of the men you couldn't really tell..but one was definate..the little girl came up to our room..she says,"Did you know I used to be a boy but now I'm a girl?"...well, no I didn't know that ..rotflmao. I also went to my first transgender meeting; I was looking for someone at AA and it was for gays, lesbians and transgenders..but anyone could attend. It was .... fascinating. they are the most fun. Great senses of humor about their plight..the whole gender issue, really...but I ramble as usual. Thanks for the great poem.:-*) |

| a beautiful write, putting other cultures into the light, awesome job, and funny too, like this poem enjoyed a good laugh, you have a primo talent, of enrapturing the readers imagination. cool poem. |
