A Blind Man

Contributed by thewordzwithin on Friday, 22nd October 2004 @ 08:24:47 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I wonder what’s worst
To see hate or to feel hate
Sometimes I feel God made a mistake
He brought me into this world without the ability to see
The hate these people place against me
I’ve never seen the face of my oppressors
Or understood why I must receive the lesser
End of the respect I give them
I just wish I knew what I am
They call me all types of names and treat me like dirt
They give me scrapes of food like the dog has more worth
They say it’s because of the color of my skin
Why my life must come to an end
But they are the ones with the eyes so why can’t they see
That you all look black to me
I wasn’t given the chance to see anyone’s face
Or see why people kill because of race
Oh God, please take me from this place
Ease my heart with your amazing grace
Take me from the people who want to destroy me
Take me from these people who want to ignore me
Ignore the fact that I don’t care
About the color to your face or the texture of your hair
Take me God, from this place I don’t understand
Why I’m not allowed to be a blind man

The very last line is was put this whole
poem together. Great Job! Sometimes,
I just wish I could not see, or hear or feel,
all of the hatered or pain in this world. But this is the way life is.....we must continue
and accept what we are. Always keep your
head up.
ALINA
and remeber that they hated Jesus before they hated you.....so you are not alone

You can see and it is very clear that you have an understanding borne from the hurts you've endured. Your words told me that.

I have seen many people even my self at times give up on the whole of man because of the deed of one who was trapped in selfishness. I think you are where you belong and I think people need to learn to not be selfish.
