'Toon in June

Cartoons playing in the afternoon,
letting go in the fit of June,
lazy days,
hazy days,
my hand drags across the floor
as I implore it to be something more.
A fan beats lazily, overhead,
passerbys think me dead,
can't move, think, or even talk,
I've long ago lost my will to walk.
Hallucinations come in mild kicks,
brought on by heat and pixie sticks.
I see some Smurfs chilling in the corner,
look for Smurfette, I try to warn her,
that she's the only girl for them to track,
she must spend a lot of time on her back.
The power fades in a brown out flicker,
it's all right, I lost the clicker
anyways it's time to hit the bed.
But first, I should find Smurfette.
