Good Days & Bad Days

Contributed by pixie on Friday, 22nd October 2004 @ 12:09:35 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I have my good days & my bad days,
Sometimes I wish life would just go away,
Other days I am full of the joys of spring,
Wondering what the next day will bring.

Sometimes I can’t lift my head from my pillow,
Theses are days when my hearts full of woe,
There are days when I can’t seem to sit still,
I am happy with no help from any pill.

Some days I cry my eyes out for no reason,
Just seems happiness is out this season,
I carry no hope & feel like giving up,
Feel like the last & unwanted pup.

Sadness really does knock me for six,
Has me right at the end of my wit,
I can’t see any way out but to die,
Tell people I love them & say goodbye.

But I know I am a fighter, who can win,
One who won’t throw her hope into the bin,
I have stayed sane throughout my entire trauma,
Even though my depression has been quite a performer.

One day I am up the next day I’m down,
But I just keep picking myself up off the ground,
Does that make me stronger or do I become weak?
Will I ever find out the answers which I seek?

Yes this is so true Pixie we all have the good and bad days. I understood your poem and thought about it. I've come to realize for myself, that life is so short and every day I let go by in a blaze of nothingness is a day I can never retrieve.

I look for the positive's in life. In everything, everyone. I give myself, because sometimes that in itself lifts my spirit.

I really liked what your poem had to say and I believe your ordeal will make you stronger. Hang tight & keep on writing.

Kie
