Spider In The Shower

Contributed by Cynthia on Friday, 22nd October 2004 @ 11:16:49 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

I hopped in the shower
so I could get clean,
these beady little eyes
were staring back at me.

There was no way I was going to take a shower
with that spider there,
that dang critter wouldn't leave me alone
so I could wash my hair.

I turned the water off
and he started climbing down the wall,
I was going to get that darn spider
even if it took me til fall.

I took a piece of paper
off the toilet roll,
I was going to kill him and
flush him down the toilet bowl.

I tried to squash it,
but it climbed down the web,
I tried a second time
and then he wound up dead.

I would like to say that I would do the same thing when I saw a spider in my shower. But actually, if I saw a spider in the shower, I would run and scream bloody murder. But good poem.

I'm always nervous about spiders being in the shower, Heck before I even get in, I check all the corners, If there's a spider in there I will kill it, But i'll be so nervous to move in the shower and even reach for the soap or shampoo, Lol. Good words, Good rhyming scheme.
