welcome to the land of extremes,
where too cold is half of how cold it really is,
wind is hell cause it burns on your skin,
a blistering frigid inferno dancing on your outsides,
but you're inside out,
cause the very bones seem to freeze,
freeze solid.
you're a block of ice.
blood screams mercy in cold veins,
where too warm is half of how warm you'd like to be,
but those aren't thoughts of extremes.
it's like your very survival is on ice.
chilled like a wine as you ferment in some arctic manner.
every second like 100 years.
the shakes make you think of nothing but how you tremble,
like in some sort of chilled fear.
the elements in recent are to be respected.
humbly bowing your head into your scarf.
an homage to unbreakable freezing.
every instant that we fight sub-zero,
is every instant we don't win,
we'll freeze and wait

this was really well done, bonewiz326. Great descriptions. Growing up, for part of the time, in the snow belt of Canada, I can say that you really hit the nail on the head about the cold. But now, you made me look at it in a way I never have before : "humbly bowing your head into your scarf. an homage to unbreakable freezing." AWESOME JOB! |
