Cry

Contributed by nonet2catchme on Wednesday, 20th October 2004 @ 09:27:49 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

Sometimes I just pause to think about you for a moment
That moment then seems to stretch into eternity
The changes that feel like they're distroying all of me
You're gone and I can't seem to think anymore

The minutes stretched into hours as the tears poured down my face How could you be gone when you had only just begun the race?
The truth though painful, we knew it was real
Who would I run to now, to tell how I feel?
Wanting to run from this world to be by myself
I couldn't escape you because you were so pure in yourself

I can sometimes hear your voice
When no one is around to hear the pain in my heart
I break down and cry and tell you all the reasons why
You should be here with me

The days stretch into weeks, the weeks then go on too
I just don't know how I can go on living without you
the hurt and pain has been multiplied
by the tears that stream down my face as I cried
As I sit all by myself and I think of how much I miss you
What a friend you were to hold my hand when I was hurting too

Sometimes just your name can break my heart stone
For when I think of you I know I'm not alone
You're there holding my hand just like you always used to
Fighting my fears and wiping my tears

The weeks have stretched into months
Those months will someday hit years
Though I know no matter how long of time
The memory of you my boy, will always be mine
Knowing you will keep my heart so true
As I go on living this life alone, without you

And now I know its okay to break down sometimes and cry
Its okay to break down sometimes
And Cry

This poem is so powerful. I am almost in tears from your beautiful writing, but I know my tears can in no way compare to the internal agony you must be feeling. Sad how the best poems are writen from the worst emotions, but well done - it helps to get your feelings out doesn't it before you go mad with them in your head. It's so easy to get trapped but all the sad thoughts, I'm learning myself that I shouldn't bottle things up. Again, well done, and I hope you soon feel the light of happiness. My thoughts are with you.
