Diseased

Got a monkey on your back
Fighting for control
It's an internal battle between heart, mind, body, and soul
Each and every day
Is a fight for survival
Don't give up, don't back down, don't give in or you'll lose to your rival
You've gotta fight for survival

_____________________________________________________

The last thing you expected
When you woke up late this morning
Was to find your self in someone elses head

But let me tell you brother
You're fighting one hell of a mother
She'll convince you that she loves you till your dead

All the lies she plants so easily
With carefull cautious secrecy
Are only there to blind you in the end

She'll promise courage, promise strength
Will go to nearly any length
To let the twisted poisioning begin

And she does it with such subtlety
The only time its truly seen
Is standing on the outside looking in

It may take time, so slow at first
Eventually she's all that cures
The thirst you're feeling, needing once again

Got a monkey on your back
Fighting for control
It's an internal battle between heart, mind, body, and soul
Each and every day
Is a fight for survival
Don't give up, don't back down, don't give in or you'll lose to your rival
You've gotta fight for survival

I'm glad I never took drugs, or even thought about it. Goody for me! Although I take my pain out in another gruesome way; oh well... Awesome write, Scotty! So true about drugs; they take away your pain, set you in a world of surreal bliss, and throws you back to the real world. Fries your brains cells, icky. But other than stating the obvious, an excellent write! (Oh wait, thats another obvious! Ah, what the hell, Beautiful write, Naz!) All my love! Hugs and kisses! Forever,

Votre fleur de sang

You have explained what I fight for everyday, and it is so hopeful to hear other people feel the same. Sometimes that monkey starts stranglin' me but I am not giving up this time I am keeping my feet on the ground. 55 days today and just wanted to thank you for inspiring me today.

The rainbows of life follow the storms

Naz, If this write is about the effects of drugs or alcohol, as I believe it is, I think it is an excellant poem masterfully written. A very good personifcation of the ills of drugs and alcohol.

Great write, Naz
Willofree
