Gone Too Soon

Contributed by OhSaige on Wednesday, 20th October 2004 @ 06:43:08 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

You would tuck me in every night
With gentle kisses and hugs so tight
You laughed at my jokes and cried with my pain
You always were there come sunshine or rain

You raised us alone you were so strong
Always with smile and your heart with song
Behind closed doors I would hear you weep
Dad left you alone and the pain went deep

You left too soon I know not why
There'll be many nights I'm sure I'll cry
As I look to the heavens I shall call your name
From this day forward life will not be the same

As time marches on I'm sure it will show
I am in good hands and this I'm sure you know
There is one thing certain that all will see
A part of you will always be a part of me

Love you Mom

First of all I want to offer my deepest condolences for your loss and may her soul rest in peace. About the poem, it's a very very emotional poem and you have got talent so I advise you to use it to express your emotions whenever you need to, and the other thing I want to say is, I really would like to help, so if want, all you have to do is tell me so, and then we can talk about it or about anything else (If you want), I went through something close to yours but not like this, my heart is with you, and my last advice is...have faith.

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. I believe in heaven and I believe our loved ones watch down on us. Have faith and be strong in yourself. You will be with her again one day.

Im so sorry about the loss of your mother, i cant imagine how hard it is, I just lost my uncle, and he meant alot to me. Your poem made me think about my mom, who i dont really speak to anymore cause we dont get along. Im happy that you and your mom was so close before she died, and youll always have them memories with you forever.

To lose anyone close is like losing a part of your soul.I'm sorry for your great loss
I'm sure your mum would be proud of your fitting tribute to her
