Father, Another

A man in the dimly lit room.
Sitting.
Listening.
Wondering,
what his life would be like,
if he had only
Persued that
Dream.
Memories and a smile drift
Across his face.
Hidden talent in those
Fine Lines.
Voices from the past
Share their symphonies.
Reminiscing.
A tear of Regret.
Bitter uncertainty.
Past genious reprimands,
"You could have,
Would have,
Should have...
been One of
Us."
Now confined to his
Other Life,
He wishes it different.
Soon his years will pass.
He will fade,
as all things do.
Along with him many a
Masterpiece.
Never to be heard.

It is always so sad when we do not achieve our dreams. There is always that "what if I had" niggling in the back of our brain. It always makes you feel less than the best. Love him lots.
