Empty

Contributed by MnMnMsrcool on Wednesday, 20th October 2004 @ 05:44:05 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

When was the last time
there was something on your mind
to tell an empty soul

The people yell
the people sing
for what?
an empty gesture

We reach for shelter
we reach for protection
from what?
an empty hand

Each time a cheer erupts
a hand flings out
and snatches away our happiness
but why?
and empty heart

A presence lingers
a light burns bright
why?
to console our
empty soul

Very good poem, well written and well presented too, I felt each and every word written, in my point of view "You are not empty at all, but it's just a period of time and you will get over it and that's for sure" and if you want any help in getting over this emptiness you can talk to me (If you want ofcourse).
