Think of her

Contributed by Dominus on Wednesday, 20th October 2004 @ 01:23:11 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

A rainy night with rain drops dreary
And Breaths of lonely air breathed weary,
I sit and think of her.
Upon this bed of fire I search for sleep,
I try not to burn, try not to weep,
I try not to think of her…
Neither photo nor work of art
Could remove her branded name from across my heart,
So thus, I think of her.
But in this world, a world like this,
A man like me sees no such bliss
Then must learn to always live with this
And always think of her…
So in this dance hall I dance alone
Yet with every dance I turn to stone
Yet always think of her…
Oh please God please just make her listen,
So that in my eyes, her smile would glisten.
Oh take my hand then say ok
Tell me love, that it’s here you’ll stay
And I promise I’ll be your night and day
Then forever think of you…

This is a very sweet emotional write of longing and love. Cheers!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
