Take me out to the ball game
Or anywhere I don't have to hear your voice
I took you out of the crowd
Because I thought you were special
I bought you peanuts and cracker jacks
And everything else that made you smile
Now I don't care if you ever come back
No home run could make up for your mistakes
It's root, root, root, for forgiveness
You threw too many wild pitches
You lost me, it's a shame
Now I'm headed home
Cause it's ONE! TWO! THREE! strikes you're out
When you play me like a ball game

Home run, Sub!
Allegorical to the hilt. 5 stars because I haven't rated anyone in a while, and I couldn't find anything to critique about this, apart from the fact that not everyone gets baseball (i'm americanized) and mightn't understand it . . .
But anyway, keep writing. I enjoy it when you do. |

I like that. It's an unusual twist to an old classic. I think you have some talent there! I'll have to read more of your stuff! |
