Not your average fairy tale
But just an average life
Depression will prevail
Ever persistant and rife
Someone else always in my head
Maneuvering a constant charade
Through their hopes I'm led
Stepping through the masquerade
I'm told to shoot for the stars
No goal ever too high,
But when the goals aren't even ours
Then it's just a suffocating sky
That will one day fall into reality
Disrupting our well earned serenity
Increasing life's fatality
Because of a disapearing identity
Now down life's path I'm lurching
From your wisdom here's the affect:
Aimlessly I'm searching
For the edge of a circle that's perfect.

nicely done, i especially enjoyed the closing line. i can surely relate to the feeling of striving for other peoples' goals. that's society for you, i suppose. keep up the good work!
