Oooh! Did you hear?
Nina's taken lover!
You know Nina...
5"4' brown eye'd Nina?
Girl from around the way, Nina?
Yeah... married Nina.
She's got a lover!
Who, you ask?
Some brother
who treats her better than the other
Makin' love under cover...
they actin' all like they love each other...
But we all know that just don't last.
And soon enough,
She'll be regrettin' the past.

Yeah, chile,
Nina's got a lover.
She swore 'fo God,
She'd have no other
than her husband
to have and hold
and warm her body when she felt cold
But we all know that just don't last
And soon enough
She'll be regrettin' the past.

Nina's got a lover
Easy enough to believe
Cause she just wasn't happy
Always threatnin' to leave
Should've just left, girl
By now you should know
That what comes around goes around
You'll get yours for sho'.

I'd say Nina's got a PROBLEM...

Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.
