Poised on center stage, she sits back on weary bones,
The spotlight aglow upon small mascara stained cheeks.
Bar room completely empty, she sits there quietly alone,
Where the stardom once born is now withered and sleeps.
Echoing through the dark, an unheard verse escapes her lips,
As she sings a final closing song and the stage lighting fades.
“My words may not be heard and like my heart, the flow skips
But to my many fans this simple tune will last a decade.”
