Overcast Love

Contributed by pixie on Monday, 18th October 2004 @ 01:26:19 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The love we share has been overcast,
By nasty creatures from my dark past,
They hide away & wait to pounce,
It takes a lot to fight, it takes every ounce.

Of my strength which is beginning to fade,
I am being lost in my thoughts tirade,
The only thing I have left is my hope,
That I haven’t yet reached the end of my rope.

There are now again clouds in our perfect sky,
We adore each other so much so my question is why?
Why does this have to happen to 2 people in love?
It seems that I am being pushed & shoved.

By a force that nor you or I can see,
All I ask is please depression just let me be,
Please show some compassion I have had enough,
Over the past 10 years it has been so tough.

I just want to be left alone to love Mark,
But I am forever being pulled back into the dark,
Someone or something doesn’t want me to smile,
But want me to go back to feeling worthless & vile.

Well their evil plan is more than working so far,
Opening up all of my old scars,
That I thought were once & for all healed,
But now my skin feels as though it’s being peeled.
