All The Little Things

Contributed by pixie on Monday, 18th October 2004 @ 11:09:59 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

All the little things that go with love,
Mean the most as they come from above,
It’s the little things that really matter,
They fall around you in pitters & patters.

Like the smiles from right across the room,
They lift your feelings of doom & gloom,
Or the note that’s left stuck on the fridge,
Fills you with happiness, your every inch.

Or the cup of tea that goes with the kiss,
It feels like sheer & utter bliss,
I love the cuddles that come out of the blue,
Letting me know how special I am to you.

Love to me is not having the most lavish gifts,
It’s the tiniest of things that make your soul lift,
The long, lingering looks that make you blush,
So powerful there’s no need for a touch.

The smallest of things matter most to me,
I have long drowned in love’s deep sea,
It is the things that don’t carry any expense,
I know to make me happy you’d go to any length.
