The old piano

Contributed by Mihiri on Monday, 18th October 2004 @ 10:34:25 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Darkened with age-old dust,
Sprayed on your face,
The years you’ve witnessed
Seem history to all,
The memories re-call
Soft felt you were clothed with,
Once when a babe,
The mistresses fondle you still,
Though there be cobwebs in your ears,
Nothing has changed through the years
White teeth stained with time,
Polished with the touch of the ages,
Some decay and fall when idle,
The rest be a custard yellow,
And in the darkness they shimmer and glow

I found this in the least read section. What a shame!

Exceptionally vivid and alluring write, Mihiri.
Keep writing.

This is beautiful. I could picture the piano. I always wish things like this had eyes, and I could read their memories.
