WINNIE THE WITCH

"WINNIE THE WITCH"

Never seen in winter,
or Spring,
Never in Summer,
Always in Fall,
if seen at all!

Her poor cat
riding caboose,
yelling, "Tie Me Loose!"
"Tie Me Loose!"
I thought she was clumsy.....
as her flying was deadly,

That's when I learned she had a problem!
Dizzy was one of her symptoms,
She'd take nose dives like a kite
that needs more tail!
On her take-off, her broom would "fishtail!"

I was thinking maybe she is blind?
I watched her for years, she couldn't unwind!
Around, and around in circles she flew!
Then suddenly drop-spin like a corkscrew!

Loop for loop over the chicken house,
I held my breath as she dived......
dislodging the flag pole on the school house!
Going about 50 mph she soared sideways.
Loosing control she smashed into
the glass doorways!

She lost her old cat as she hit,
I heard a Moan of "Oh, Split!"
Every bone in her body cracked,
She was literally framed as she smacked!

I called 911 to the rescue.....
Couldn't get her down, she was stuck like glue!
When they got her loose.....away she flew!
I thought her flying days were through!

The rescue crew told me she was inebriated!
I guess her breath really smarted!
They suggested she go to AWCC
(Alcoholic Witches Come Clean)
And that's why she flew from the scene!

Well, it's October, and Fall again.
I watched as she circled the pigpen.....
Swerving, and diving high and free,
That's when I saw her straddle the tree!

Poor old witch was really stuck this time.
She's lodged in the tree stump for a lifetime.
Good lesson for all of us when we get "high!"
Don't drink, climb on a broomstick and fly!

Top Ten Signs You Are Too Old
To Go "Trick or Treating!"

10. You get winded from knocking on the door.
9. You have to have another kid chew the candy for you.
8. You ask for high fiber candy only.
7. When someone drops a candy bar in your bag,
you lose your balance and fall over!
6. People say, "Great Keith Richards mask!"
and you're not wearing a mask.
5. When the door opens you yell, "Trick or ....." and
can't remember the rest.......?.
4. By the end of the night, you have a bag full
of restraining orders.
3, You have to carefully choose a costume
that won't dislodge your hairpiece.
2. You're the only Power Ranger in the neighborhood
with a walker.
1. You avoid going to the houses where your ex-wives live.

*Bewitching Smiles*

You remind me with your poem that words and laughter are the fundamental aspects of living. Its that surge inside us that makes us simply smile and moves us when nothing else will.

I loved the pics, the poem, the ending. Very fitting for the month of October.

I always feel raised up in spirit after reading what you write. You are a blessing

Kie
