The fire

So here we are close
Near the open flame
Both our hearts beat
They are one in the same.

I feel your silence
It tells me a story
How you don't want to be hurt
I am not the one to let you down

The flame from the fire is hotter
We both move away
You tell me why you're silent
I tell you "it is ok"

I know she is shy
But that night near the fire
I wanted to hold her close
Forever to be by her side
